Highly Aligned CNTs as a High-Performance Channel Material
Main content start
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are promising emerging channel materials for high-performance transistors. Achieving highly aligned CNTs is critical to unlocking their performance potential and making them competitive with silicon. This project, conducted in collaboration with TSMC, focuses on improving alignment techniques through solution-based assembly to achieve uniform wafer-scale CNT coating. Key challenges, including pitch control and wafer uniformity, require focused efforts to enhance overall channel quality.
